English and Walking Holidays

"Let English take you places"

Ideal for adults (18+) who want to improve their English while enjoying a 1-week guided walking holiday with full-board accommodation in the Scottish Highlands.

The English Language Consultancy , in conjunction with trekHighlands, provide 15 hours of structured English lessons in five morning sessions. A minimum of a further 20 hours of practical English practice and learning are included throughout the week with opportunities to use your English in the living classroom of the Scottish environment.

Class size: 6 - 12.

Level: Pre-intermediate and above.

3 and 5 Night Walking Breaks

Stay at the comfortable and beautifully located Kintail Lodge Hotel at Shiel Bridge and enjoy full board accommodation for 3 or 5 nights on our Walking Breaks. These packages include 2 and 4 days of guided walks respectively amongst the wonderful scenery of Skye and Lochalsh.

The walks will be tailored to your ability, but the idea would be to scale some hills so although you will not need to be an Olympic athlete, a reasonable level of fitness would be beneficial. If you have any concerns simply contact us via our contact page and we will advise you.

Obedient dogs are a delight to have as companions on a walk, so if you would like to bring yours, please do.

Our prices include Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, Packed Lunches and transport to and from the walks, and are based on two people sharing a standard double or twin room. Superior rooms are available at a small extra charge, subject to availability.

Walking Breaks are available throughout the season and are priced per person as follows:

3 night Breaks:

April & October - £225

May, June & September - £280

July & August - £305

5 night Breaks:

April & October - £430

May, June & September - £499

July & August - £540

Pick-ups can be arranged from Inverness and Fort William.
